DAYTON, Ohio – Northern Kentucky softball fell in its final nonconference games of the season in a doubleheader to Dayton. The Flyers took the first game, 5-1, before completing the doubleheader sweep with a 7-1 victory in the second game. The Norse drop to 13-33 overall, while Dayton improves to 27-21 and claimed all four meetings with NKU this season.
Game 1: Dayton 5, NKU 1
At the Plate
- Dayton held a 10-4 hitting advantage over NKU.
- NKU's four hits came solely from freshman rightfielder Kailey Rossiter and junior third baseman Sydney Ferrante.
- Rossiter went 2-for-4 for her sixth multi-hit game of the season.
- Ferrante recorded her 13th double and sixth home run of the season, scoring NKU's only run.

- Rossiter added a leadoff single, going 1-for-3, while junior catcher Alina Maher went 1-for-2 from the dish.

- Senior Paige McQueen pitched 6.0 innings for the Norse with one strikeout and two batters walked. She falls to 0-7 on the season.
