At the Plate
  • The Norse were out-hit by the Titans, 12-8.
  • Junior third baseman Sydney Ferrante and freshman shortstop Toree Stalter both went 2-for-3 with two runs scored apiece. Ferrante batted in the bulk of NKU's runs with four RBI, courtesy of a pair of home runs.
  • Senior DP Dani Devlin went 2-for-2 from the plate, driving in the last of NKU's runs.

Key Moments
  • Detroit Mercy jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning, starting with a leadoff homer. The Titans capitalized on a throwing error before a successful home steal to end the frame.
  • Ferrante unloaded her first home run in the third inning, driving in Stalter and Kailey Rossiter to bring the Norse within one, but the Titans answered back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to extend back out to a four-run lead.
  • NKU was able to score with a sacrifice fly by Devlin in the fifth and a solo home run from Ferrante in the seventh, but UDM continued to score at a steady pace to reach the final 10-5 lead.

Norse Notes
  • Detroit moved to a 4-2 advantage in the all-time series with the Norse.
  • Devlin recorded her 10th multi-hit game of the season to become the first Norse to reach double-digit multi-hit outings this season.
  • Stalter had her seventh multi-hit performance, while Ferrante recorded her sixth.
  • Ferrante had her first multi-RBI game of the season and joins Devlin and Ava Lawson as the only Norse this year to drive in at least four runs in a game.
  • Lawson continued to extend her active hitting streak, now leading the team after recording a hit in the past seven outings.
  • Devlin led the Norse at the plate for the series with the Titans, batting .556 and slugging 1.000.
  • Lawson and Stalter both batted above .400, with Lawson going 4-for-10 throughout the three-game set with three RBI and Stalter going 5-for-11 with a team-best four runs to go with a pair of RBI.
