In the Circle

Scoring Summary
  • NKU took its first lead in the third inning. Kailey Rossiter reached base on an error by the CSU shortstop and was advanced on a single from Ava Lawson. Ferrante added a single of her own, dropping one in center field and allowing Rossiter to plate the first run of the contest.
  • The Vikings took a brief lead in the fourth after a two-run home run allowed CSU to swing the advantage in its favor, 2-1.
  • The Norse solidified the win in the sixth, starting with a leadoff walk by Taylor Brummell. She was advanced off a sac bunt from Zahrya McFarland and driven in off a double to left field from Mulder. Mulder didn't have to wait long to advance, as Whitmer homered to left field on the next play to give the Norse the two-run lead.
