HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team fell to Milwaukee on Saturday by a final score of 2-1. The Panthers improve to 5-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Horizon League. NKU is now 6-3 on the year and 1-2 in league play.
"At times we played some very good soccer tonight, but we are going through phases in games where we aren't engaged and commit individual errors that we are getting punished on," said NKU head coach
Stu Riddle. "It's a disappointing loss, but I know we have enough quality to right this through the remainder of league play."
NKU SCORING SUMMARY
- With Milwaukee leading 2-0 late in the second half, Alex Willis was fouled in the box, and the Norse were awarded a penalty kick. Willis converted from the spot in the 88th minute to make the score 2-1.

- Ed Harvey got the start in the net and played all 90 minutes. He faced eight shots and made three saves.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
- Milwaukee took the first shot of the match in the third minute. Josh Kaye tried to chip the ball over Harvey, but his shot was high of the mark.
- Rikard Lindqvist recorded a shot in the 12th minute, but his attempt was wide right.

- Harvey recorded a save in the 64th minute on a shot by Milwaukee's Suad Suljic.
- The Panthers added to their lead in the 71st minute. Cameron Williams crossed the ball into the box from the right side, and Holmes touched it over to Alex Sykes, who tapped the ball in from close range.
- Harvey made a nice save in the 78th minute on a shot by Milwaukee's Jackson Dryden. Dryden fired a shot from close range, and Harvey was able to keep the ball from crossing the line.
- Jørgensen got behind the Milwaukee defense in the 80th minute, but his header shot went right at the goalkeeper.
- Harvey stopped another shot in the 81st minute on an attempt by Sykes.
- Willis pulled a goal back for the Norse in the 88th minute on his penalty kick, but Milwaukee went on to win the match 2-1.
MATCH NOTES
- Willis' goal was his ninth of the season. He entered the match tied for third in the NCAA in total goals and points.
- Milwaukee was whistled offside nine times in the match.
- Each team had eight shots.
