Scoring Summary
  • The Bengals were scoreless through five innings, with Ginther retiring Idaho State in order in the first three innings. However, ISU got its offense going following the fourth frame, even loading the bases in the fifth before the Norse got out of the jam to keep the Bengals scoreless. They eventually plated a run in the sixth off a trio of singles to take a 1-0 lead. Following that, a wild pitch allowed the Bengals to add another run.
  • NKU scored its lone run of the game in the final inning. Hoover pinch hit for Lawson and doubled to center field. The Norse then loaded the bases off a single from Jordan Jenkins and Toree Stalter being hit by pitch. McFarland flied out to center field to score Lawson.
