"This title change reflects the responsibilities and oversight Dan has truly been performing during his time as a Norse. We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Dan's talent and character serving our athletic department."
McIver was originally named Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business and Finance in April 2014, overseeing the financial operations for Norse Athletics in addition to supervision of the sports medicine, sports performance, facilities & event management, and marketing, ticketing and promotions departments. McIver has overseen facility enhancement projects, including the installation of a turf outfield at the Bill Aker Baseball Complex, new turf at the NKU Soccer Stadium, addition of on-campus track lanes and jumping pit, and enhancements at BB&T Arena.
"I would like to thank Ken [Bothof] for his continued support and providing me with the opportunity to help lead Norse Athletics.," McIver stated. "The program has experienced a tremendous amount of academic and athletic success in the first three years of Division I. I truly believe we are positioned to build upon this success, and provide the University with the national exposure it deserves. I am honored and grateful every day to work with a staff that is truly committed to developing our student-athletes into leaders. Success is a result of our entire staff being committed to our student-athletes every day."
