HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team gave everything it had today in the regular-season finale, falling to Oakland 2-1 in double overtime. The Norse finish the season 6-11 overall with a 4-6 record in Horizon League play. Oakland captured the regular-season Horizon League title with an overall record of 10-6-2 and finishing 8-1-1 in conference.

Sam Robinson attempt for the goal.
· Oakland tied up this match less than a minute later in the 76' off a free kick from Noah Jensen that found the head of Kieran Hayes.

· The Golden Grizzlies began the second half with a pair of shots as Ketteman and Hayes each look towards the NKU goal in the 47' and 48', respectively.
· Randall nearly missed giving the Norse the lead as his shot went just wide of the post as he collided with the Oakland goalkeeper in the 54'.
· NKU saw an incredible chance in the 59' as back-to-back shots on goal from Robinson and Randall were saved by Carbone.
· Sallows recorded an attempt low and center at the Grizzlies goal in the 72', but Carbone once again was there for the save.
· Sallows' aggressive attacking paid off in the 75' as he found the back of the net to give NKU the lead.
· Oakland netted the equalizer in the 76' off a header from Hayes on a free kick by Jensen.
· Sallows saw another fantastic opportunity later in the 76' at the Oakland goal with a shot that hit the right post, missing giving the Norse the lead by inches.
· Jensen tested the NKU defense with a low shot on goal in the 82' that Bermingham scooped up.
· NKU capped off the second half with a shot from Randall that forced Carbone off of his line to make the save in the 88'.
· The first overtime period featured the first shot from Oakland as Charlie Braithwaite's attempted was blocked in the 93'.

Ben Hegge looked to have a game-winning shot in the 96' as he blasted an attempt inside the box, only for Carbone to make a diving save.
· Only three minutes into the second overtime period, Oakland netted the game-winner with Jensen firing a shot off of a Ketteman deflection for the win.
Norse Notes
· Oakland out-shot NKU 25-22 on the day, however the Norse totaled 10 shots on goal compared to the Golden Grizzlies five.
· NKU and Oakland combined for 28 fouls in this contest. The Norse were also issued four yellow cards, all in the first half.
· Sallows scored his third overall goal of the season and posted a season-high four shots.
· Robinson tallied his second assist of the season as well.
