HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team took its fifth win in a row, defeating Green Bay in overtime, 3-2, on Friday at NKU Soccer Stadium. The Norse advance to 5-1 on the season while Green Bay falls to 2-2-1.
"I think the result speaks volumes about this group," said head coach
Stu Riddle. "We've spoken about character and this group is a very special group, and we're seeing that with the results we've had. We have five wins in a row – a school record at Division I – and we're just starting. We've been saying to the players that we have one game at a time and we're just getting this thing started. Really pleased with them and it's the reason we play these games, for those types of endings."
