HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team dropped to 3-5-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the Horizon League with a 2-1 overtime loss to rival Wright State Saturday evening. WSU improves to 3-4-0 overall and 2-1-0 in conference play.

Daniel Kaufman netted the lone goal for the Norse as the redshirt freshman defender broke through the WSU opposition to beat the goalkeeper and see the ball find the back of the net. This was Kaufman's first career collegiate goal.
· Zion Beaton of Wright State tied up the match with a header in the 77th minute on the assist from Presten Manthey.
· Harvey Slade netted the game-winner with a header that found its way into the net off a corner kick from Manthey in the 110'.

· Northern Kentucky's
Daniel Bermingham (3-5-0) finished the night playing the full 109:49 for the Norse. The senior goalkeeper recorded six saves and faced a total of 22 shots.
· Sebastian Jimenez (2-2-0) also stayed in goal for the entirety of the contest, recording six saves and faced 16 shots.
Match Summary
· First shot of the match came from the Raiders as Slade Harvey fired one towards the NKU net in the 6th minute but was blocked by the Norse defense.
· NKU's first attempt on goal was from
Sam Robinson who went low and left with the shot but was saved by WSU in the 19'.

Jesse Randall looked to continue his goal scoring ways this season as his first shot came in the 26' as his shot was on target but ultimately denied by the Raider goalkeeper.
· Harvey was booked in the 32' with a yellow card.
· Wright State was very aggressive in the opening half, outshooting Northern Kentucky, 8-4.
· WSU also totaled more corner kicks than the NKU in the first half, 7-3.
· Kaufman netted the lone goal for the Norse in the 52'.
· Zion Beaton netted the equalizer for the Raiders in the 77' as a cluster form in front of the NKU net, seeing Beaton making the diving attempt to connect with the ball to slip past the Norse defense.
· NKU made one final attempt in regulation with a shot from
Jesse Randall in the 90' that would miss just to the right.
· The Norse saw three shots during the first overtime period, as
Dylan Bufton and
Roberto Burlew contributed to the offensive threat.
· WSU posted the first shot of the first overtime period in the 106' as Beaton missed high over the NKU net.
· The Raiders continued with the offensive pressure with a shot on goal in the 109' which saw Bermingham make the save.
· Wright State saw the game-winner off a corner kick with just 11 seconds remaining (110'), as Presten Manthey played the ball in for the Raiders which met the head of Slade Harvey to find the back of the net.
Norse Notes
· The Norse finished the match with 16 overall shots, compared to Wright State with a total of 22.
· Seven total yellow cards were issued during the rivalry contest, as NKU totaled three and WSU four.
· This was the first overtime match for the Norse this season.
· Wright State improves to 13-4 all-time against Northern Kentucky.
