CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's tennis program swept through Thomas More Friday evening to open the 2022 season.
Match Notables
- NKU saw dominant performances by both Emilien Burnel and Jorge Rodriguez. Burnel defeated Anderson McDowell 6-1, 6-1, while Rodriguez took down Fernando Martin Paz 6-1, 6-0.
- Trevor Ball went on to cruise past Payson Scott, 6-0, 6-3.
- Brandon Ponomarew, Vincent Knott and Tom Berry each picked up wins for the Norse as well to help seal the 7-0 overall victory.
- In doubles action, the Norse picked up three victories as the squads of Brunel/Ponomarew, Rodriguez/Berry and Ball/Knott each handled their Thomas More opponents with ease.
