CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's tennis program earned their second straight victory, improving to 4-2 overall this season by defeating Saint Francis late Friday night by a final score of 4-0.
"The men continued to have contributions from all spots on the team," said head coach
Brian Nester. "A late start but the guys were very efficient in doubles tonight."
Match Notables
- NKU began the night on the right foot by taking two of three doubles matches against Saint Francis. Trevor Ball and Brandon Ponomarew defeated the team of Palko/Teixeira 6-3 and the Norse followed up with a win from Emilien Burnel and Santiago Casamayor to capture the doubles point.
- In singles action Northern Kentucky saw wins from Ball and Ponomarew. Ball defeated Banti of the Red Flash 6-4, 6-2, while Ponomare took down Vinces at 6-3, 6-2.
- Tom Berry clinched for NKU late into the night with a victory over Teixeira at 6-4, 6-4.
