BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – The Northern Kentucky women's tennis (3-11, 0-5 Horizon) was narrowly defeated by Horizon League opponent Oakland (8-8, 2-2 Horizon) on the road by a final score of 4-3.
MATCH NOTABLES
- The Norse picked up three victories in singles action against the Golden Bears of Oakland. Maria Koo earned her second consecutive win by defeating Liza Mladentseva by a score of 7-5, 6-4. Koo improves to 8-5 overall this season as well.
- Laura Sola Grau also won her second straight win by taking down Nirva Patel by a score of 7-5, 5-7, 6-3. Grau improves to 5-9 on the year also.
- Ananya Kothakota capped off the final win in singles play for NKU by defeating Tegan Heaton 6-4, 6-2 overall. Kothakota sees her overall record jump to 4-7 this season, and this is her third consecutive singles victory.
