INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky had 14 hits in a 10-1 blowout of IUPUI Friday afternoon at the IUPUI Softball Complex, clinching a fourth win in the last five outings and improving to 19-24 (8-11 Horizon League).
The Norse stranded six on base in the first four innings before breaking open the game in the top of the fifth.
NKU scored all 10 runs in the fifth inning onward and cemented the victory in the top of the seventh by driving in six runs.

- Lauryn Hicks (4-5) went the distance, striking out 11 and walking just two in seven innings. She allowed five hits and one run (earned).

- IUPUI scored its lone run in the bottom of the third. Kasie Keyes doubled and advanced to third on a sac bunt, then came home when Rachael Gregory reached first on a fielder's choice.
- The Jaguars threatened again in the bottom of the fourth but the Norse stranded runners at second and third. Lauryn Hicks ended the half-inning with a strikeout.
- The Norse carried the momentum over to offense with three hits and three runs in the top of the fifth.
- Kendyl McKeough doubled to left center and drove home Sydni Barnes, who'd walked and advanced to second on Jenna O'Hair's sac bunt in the top of the fifth. McKeough advanced to third on a wild pitch. McKeough scored the go-ahead run via Jordan Jenkins' RBI single to left field. After pinch runner Hannah Colbert advanced to second on a wild pitch, Maddie Lacer drove her home with a single up the middle.
- Kendyl McKeough notched another RBI-double in the top of the sixth, scoring Sophie Margelot for the 4-1 lead.
- Tatum Biddle hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh, plating Ella LeMonier for a 6-1 advantage. Sydni Barnes doubled down the right field line, scoring Sophie Margelot in a 7-1 game. Kendyl McKeough singled and drove in Sydni Barnes. Jordan Jenkins's RBI-single plated Jenna O'Hair for the 9-1 lead.
- Mackenzie Mitchell fired the ball up the right side for an RBI-single, scoring Kendyl McKeough for the 10-1 advantage. By the time IUPUI secured the third out, NKU had amassed six runs and five hits and was well on its way to victory.
