Men's @NKUNorseTennis tripped up by UIC

CHICAGO – The Northern Kentucky men's tennis program was taken down by the Flames of UIC Saturday afternoon by a final score of 5-2. The Norse drop to 6-9 (1-6 Horizon) overall this season, while the Flames improve to 4-18 (2-6 Horizon).

Match Notables
  • Northern Kentucky began the day with a doubles win from Emilien Burnel and Brandon Ponomarew who defeated Schwebel and Dos Santos by a final score of 6-3. Burnel and Ponomarew as a team improve to 2-1 overall this season. 
  • NKU then captured the doubles point as the duo of Santiago Casamayor and Jorge Rodriguez took down the team of Strandberg and Iermolov by a score of 6-3. Casamayor and Rodriguez as a team are now 2-2 this year. 
  • In singles action, Burnel picked up the win after defeating Schwebel by a score of 6-2, 7-5. Burnel is now 5-8 this season.
