@NKUNorseSB sees season ended by Robert Morris in #HLSB Championship

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Northern Kentucky Softball (27-29) saw their 2022 season come to and end as No. 4 seeded Robert Morris (31-20) defeated the Norse on day three of the Horizon League Championship, 2-1. 
 
KEY MOMENTS OF THE GAME
  • Northern Kentucky struck first in this elimination matchup as Jordan Jenkins grounded out to second base to bring home Kendyl McKeough from third.
  • Robert Morris tied up the game in the fourth with an RBI ground out of their own to second base.
  • The Colonials took a 2-1 lead after a fielder's choice which ultimately resulted in a Norse error to see RMU advnace to the final day of the Horizon League Championship.
     
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Sydni Barnes recorded a multi-hit day for NKU, going 2-for-3 with one double during the contest.
  • Kendyl McKeough blasted a clutch triple, which led to her crossing the plate one batter later. McKeough went 1-for-3 overall with one run scored as well. 
  • Madisyn Eads got the start in the circle, finishing the game throwing 4.0 innings with one strikeout. Eads went on to only allow one run and two hits during her day against the Colonials.
