MOON TOWNSHIP, Penn. – Northern Kentucky men's soccer was taken down in the 2022 Horizon League Opener on the road by Robert Morris with a final score of 2-1 Saturday afternoon.
The Norse (2-3, 0-1 Horizon) jumped ahead of the Colonials of RMU (1-3, 1-0 Horizon) with a Deryn Armstrong goal in the 17' minute of action. Armstrong took on nearly four defenders alone and was able to find the back right corner of the net with a strike to give NKU the early lead. Robert Morris found the equalizer in the 59' minute as Hugo Kadima scored for the home squad. Kelvin Ramirez netted the game-winner for RMU in the 78' minute to take this Horizon League contest at 2-1 by the final whistle.
