DAYTON, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer was defeated in the final match of the 2023 regular season by arch rival Wright State on the road in Dayton Wednesday afternoon.

MATCH BREAKDOWN
- Wright State claimed the opening goal in this match in the 2' minute as Jacob Adams got the Raiders on the board early.
- Adams followed up with his second goal of the day in the 39' minute to see Wright State up 2-0 heading into the break.
- WSU added to their lead with a goal from Reece Allbaugh on a penalty kick in the 63' minute.
- The Norse got onto the scoreboard in the 83' minute with goal from NKU senior Roberto Burlew off the assist from fellow senior classmen Ben Hegge and sophomore Parker Vasic.
- Burlew netted his third goal of the year today which saw his career total jump up to seven overall. This was his third goal of the season as well, a career-high for the senior Norse defender.
- This was Hegge's second straight contest with an assist, increasing his season total up to six and his overall career total to 11 in a Norse uniform.
- Vasic notched his second assist of the season, his third overall in his young Norse career. Parker finishes the 2023 year with a career-high in assists as well with two overall.
- The Raiders answered Northern Kentucky right back with a goal in the 84' minute from Conner Osterholt on an assist from Dominic Ruffolo.
- Wright State capped off their scoring in the 86' minute with a goal from Ruffolo on an assist from Henry Hutchinson.
