HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky softball program was blanked by visiting Horizon League foe Cleveland State, 10-0, in a conference clash at Frank Ignatius Grein Field on a very windy Saturday afternoon.

- It was an afternoon to forget as the Norse were no-hit at the plate to go with 10 Cleveland State runs allowed.

Trinity Robertson drew a walk in the contest as the Norse's lone baserunner.
- Even though NKU let 10 runs in, just five were earned as the Norse committed four errors.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was all Cleveland State in this one as the Vikings scored three in the first, two in the fourth and five more in the fifth to seal the run-rule victory.
- NKU couldn't get anything going against CSU standout Melissa Holzopfel who went all five innings in the circle with no hits or runs allowed to go with five strikeouts.
NEXT UP
Northern Kentucky will look to regroup with the Norse and Vikings set to clash again in a Sunday doubleheader on April 2 that gets underway at noon in Highland Heights.
