Baseball Gets Back on Track, Defeats Rival Wright State

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky baseball program wrapped up their three-game series with arch rival Wright State from Friendship Field Sunday afternoon with a home victory over the Raiders by a final score of 9-5.

NORSE NOTES 
  • Echeman turned in yet another impressive performance on the mound, tossing 6.0 total innings against Wright State. He recorded five strikeouts, allowing zero earned runs and just three hits. Echeman has only allowed one earned run in his last three starts and has seen his earned average drop down to 4.24 as of now as well. 
  • Vorhees kept his reached base streak alive yet again today after his single in the bottom of the 3rd against Wright State, and his walk later on in the 7th. Manny's streak is now up to 12 consecutive games. 
  • The duo of Noah Fisher and Treyvin Moss each saw their 10th multi-hit game of the season, and seventh game each with at least two hits as well.

Northern Kentucky Baseball will hit the field once again on Thursday, April 6 as the Norse will travel to northern Ohio for another Horizon League series. NKU will meet Youngstown State for a trio of games next weekend, with game number one scheduled for 5:00 PM ET from Eastwood Field in Niles, Ohio.
