- The Norse have now taken over first place in the Horizon League standings with a conference record of 8-4 overall. NKU leads Wright State and Oakland currently who sit at 7-5 as well.
- Fisher was on fire throughout this series, posting a batting average of .636 against the Penguins along with totaling seven hits, one home run, seven RBI, four doubles, a slugging percentage of 1.273 and and an on base percentage of .778 as well.
- Northern Kentucky won their second conference series of 2023, along with their second Horizon League sweep. The Norse improve to 17-12 on the year and are currently on a four-game winning streak.
