HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky Men's Tennis team looked to bounce back after a season-opening loss to #7 Kentucky as they took on Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon. The Colonels picked up the doubles point with a 2-1 victory, as Jacob-Rouleau Mailly and
Hector Salvador Civera earned a 6-2 victory, but the other Norse pairs fell in the competition.
In singles play,
Emilio Bravo picked up the first point of the year for NKU, winning a battle 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. Rouleau-Mailly also fought to a third set, but fell in retirement late in the third set.
Xavier Ecarma dropped both of his sets in the third match, losing 6-3, 6-3.
Joao Pimenta also dropped a match in retirement, but did so in his first set.
Jackson Poulos fell 6-4, 6-2, while Salvador lost 6-2, 6-1 in the final match.
