HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Northern Kentucky baseball picked up a fourth straight victory and kicked off Horizon League play with a win on Friday afternoon, as the Norse took on and defeated Purdue Fort Wayne.
Kaden Echeman starred on the mound for the Norse in the victory, while three Norse finished with multi-hit games.

HIGHLIGHTS - PITCHING
- Kaden Echeman dominated PFW on his way to his first win of the season. Echeman threw seven innings of shutout baseball, allowing only two hits without a walk. The graduate student righty struck out a career-high 12 batters, and retired the first 13 batters he faced.
- Out of the bullpen, Logan Wilson allowed a pair of runs (one earned) while recording the final six outs to secure the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- While Kaden Echeman was pitching a gem, the Norse plated all five of their runs. Gabe Miranda doubled to left center in the first o drive in a run before Josh Williams plated a run with a sac fly in the fourth.
- In the fifth, Gabe Miranda plated a run with an RBI triple before Braydon Rogers singled to score another.
- In the seventh, Logen Devenport blasted a homer to center, and the Norse held on for the win.
