Women's Tennis Defeats IU Indy in Conference Opener

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky Women's Tennis team took on IU Indy on Saturday evening in their conference opener. 

The Norse defeated the Jaguars winning 5-2 for their second straight victory. NKU won the doubles point, and four Norse were able to victories in singles play, giving the Norse their first win in conference play. Ashlee Fisk only lost three games in her two set victory from the #1 slot. Darya Gneidina won her match in the #2 slot in three sets, winning the final one 6-3. Mariajose Hernandez won 6-4, 6-0 in the #4 slot. Didi Steenhuis wrapped up the list of singles victors for NKU, winning 6-3, 6-4 in the #6 slot.
