HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — Just a day after the season's first walkoff winner, the Northern Kentucky baseball team did it again on Sunday, taking the series with a comeback victory over Eastern Illinois in 11 innings at Friendship Field.
This time, it was Braydon Rogers who played hero with a single to deep right center field to win it for the Norse.
NKU finished the week 3-1, winning the series over EIU two games to one and upsetting Indiana in the midweek.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN - PITCHING
- Aaron Boster started for the Norse, giving up six runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks. Boster had six strikeouts.
- Noah Sackenheim came out of the bullpen for NKU and allowed just one run on two hits, striking out four.
- From there, Shawn Parnell (2.0 IP, 2 K), Bobby Bartlett (1.0 IP) and Aaron Massie (2.0 IP, 3 K, W) combined for five shutout innings to give the Norse a chance.
BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN - BATTING
- Braydon Rogers, who provided the walkoff winner, finished 2-6 with a a double and an RBI.
- Nolan Sparks had a 3-4 showing with a triple, three runs scored and an RBI.
- Gabe Miranda finished 2-5, and tied the game with a mammoth solo homer in the ninth.
- Josh Williams led NKU in RBI with two as part of a 2-4 day.
- Brennan Rowe finished 2-4 with an RBI.
- Jake Altman finished 1-4 with an RBI single.
- On the base paths, Logen Devenport stole a base, and Nolan Sparks stole two. Devenport finished 1-4 with an RBI.
