CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.  – The Northern Kentucky Men's Tennis team took on Youngstown State in their regular season finale on Saturday night in what was also their final home match of the 2025 spring season. The Norse honored Xavier Ecarma on his senior night, one of just two upperclassmen on this young Norse team. 

The Norse fell 6-1 in the match as Joao Pimenta came back and earned a three-set victory, after falling down 4-6 in set one. Pimenta notched a 6-2 victory in set two and a 6-1 win in the final set to earn NKU's only point.

The Norse currently await their fate as their qualification into the Horizon League Conference Championship is in the hands of the IU Indy Jaguars, who still have two matches remaining to play. NKU (3-5) currently sits at third in the north division, while the Jaguars (2-4) sit in fourth.
