Men’s Soccer draws at home with Cleveland State

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse Men's Soccer took on Cleveland State at home on Saturday night, looking to add points early in the Horizon League season. The Norse got an early goal, but conceded in the second half as the match ended in a one-all draw.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Norse defender Oliver Eckhardt scored the lone goal for NKU, putting one in after Maddox Behnfeldt's shot was blocked on a free kick from Itay Soffer. The goal marked the first of Eckhardt's Norse career.
Steven Boaghe Braniste recorded two shots, with one shot on goal.
– Carlos Merce recorded a shot on goal. 
– Cleveland State outshot the Norse, 12-9, in the match. NKU Keeper Alex Kron made one save. 
– The Vikings had five corner kick opportunities to NKU's two, but couldn't capitalize on them.
