BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's tennis opened its spring season on Friday afternoon, taking on Western Kentucky. Sydney Zakic earned the first singles win of the year for the Norse, taking down her opponent in three sets in the #3 slot, but that was the lone win of the day for the Norse as all other Norse fell in two sets in singles play. 

NKU put up a good fight in doubles play, as Zakic and Alyssa Cameron dropped their set 7-5 int he #1 slot, Darya Gneidina and Haley Slay lost 6-4 in the #2 slot, while Aaditi Bhat and Catharina Cardoso fell 6-3 in the #3.
