Baseball bounces back with road victory over Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse baseball took on Ohio on the road Tuesday, a week removed from a home victory over the Bobcats. The Norse again downed Ohio, winning 7-4 on the Bobcats' home turf.

GAME SUMMARY
– NKU took an early lead after the first three batters all reached base. Marcus Harrison drove in two with a single, and the Norse would never trail in the contest. NKU continued to add runs with a fourth-inning sac fly, two bases-loaded RBI singles in the fifth, and an RBI double in the sixth. Northern Kentucky's seven pitchers allowed just two earned runs in the contest, allowing seven hits and two walks on the night. 

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
–The Norse got solid pitching performances from the whole staff, as Cody Little started the game with a pair of scoreless innings, while Will Franklin, Tannis Lange, MJ Castaneda, and Gerald Hanson all threw an inning with none allowing multiple runs. Elijah Green nearly notched a three-inning save before being pulled for Gabe Stout, who recorded the final out and earned his third save of the year. Lange didn't allow a baserunner while on the mound and earned the win, moving to 2-2. 
– Offensively, the Norse hit 9-34 on the evening, drawing six walks and two HBPs. The Norse were also benefactors of four Bobcat errors. 
– Leading the charge offensively was Marcus Harrison, who batted 2-5 with two RBI and a run scored, while Ethan Thomas backed him up with a 2-4 day with two RBI. 
Jake Paulick finished 1-4 with a walk, while Mark Nowak and Alex Brazer each hit doubles.
