Men’s Triathlon competes at Zoom RedHawk Sprint Triathlon

OXFORD, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's triathlon opened up its fall 2026 campaign on Sunday, competing at the Zoom RedHawk Sprint Triathlon on Sunday. NKU saw nine runners compete at the event, with NKU's top finisher, Sean Smyth, finishing sixth overall.

Smyth clocked a time of 1:11:02, finishing best among Norse runners with a sixth-place finish. Ian Fababe finished in 11th place, clocking a final time of 1:18:56. Behind Fababe was Max Marion, who ran a 1:20:44 in the race, finishing 14th overall and third among Norse. Dane Liggins (19th) Cooper Molony (20th), Noah Fleischmann (21st), Korlin Loftis (23rd), finished the group of Norse notables.

Up next, Northern Kentucky heads to Champaign for the Tri the Illini Race on September 27.
