2016: As a sophomore, Ganns appeared in all but three games, making 50 starts for NKU split between first base and designated hitter … tossed 47.0 innings after making eight pitching appearances including seven starts … offensively, was fourth on the team in batting average at .286 after batting 55-for-192 … was third in the Horizon League in doubles with 17 and also posted a home run for a .391 slugging percentage … drove in 21 runs and scored 27 – tied for second-most on the team … posted a .365 on-base percentage and went 4-for-6 in stolen base attempts … drew a team-high 23 walks and had 17 multi-hit games … on the mound, Ganns accrued a 4.21 ERA and 3-3 record … allowed 50 hits, 27 runs, 22 earned in his 47.0 innings … struck out 45 and issued 15 walks … fanned 14 batters in 7.2 innings against Milwaukee (May 1), the most strikeouts in a single game by a Horizon League pitcher in 2016, to earn Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week honors as announced by Collegiate Baseball … went at least 7.0 innings in each of his last four outings.
2015: Saw action in all but three games for the Norse, making 49 appearances and 45 starts as a two-way player … batted .296 with 50 hits, the third-best on the team … was second on the team in RBI with 25 … clubbed 11 doubles and four home runs on the year en route to posting a .432 slugging percentage … led the team in walks with 24 and was third on the team in on-base percentage at .383 … made seven appearances on the mound including three starts for a total of 11.2 innings pitched, a 1-2 record and 10 strikeouts … totaled 12 multi-hit games at the plate highlighted by a 3-for-4 showing with two RBI against A-Sun foe Kennesaw State … had seven multi-RBI games including a pair of three-RBI outings against Jacksonville (May 3) and Butler (April 21).
