2023 (Junior)

Was second among starters on the team in ERA at 5.12. He started all 15 appearances he made
Tied for the team lead in wins (6). Was 6-4 with a 5.12 ERA.
Was second on the team in strikeouts with 74 in 84 1/3 innings.
Had one complete game shutout - going 9 innings, allowing 6 hits with 5 strikeouts against YSU on 4/7.
Went at least 6 innings in 9 of his 15 starts.

2022 (Sophomore)

Led Norse starting pitchers with an earned run average of 5.24, while making 12 starts and 19 overall appearances.
Gerl posted a team-high four wins during his second stint with the Norse
Recorded 67 strikeouts during 89.1 innings with an opponent batting average of .297 as well.
Posted his first collegiate save in a road victory over Youngstown State.
Saw one of his best games of the season against UIC throwing 7.0 innings with 10 strikeouts, one walk in the 7-1 win.

2021 (Freshman)

All-Horizon League Freshman Team
Posted a 4-6 overall record with a 6.41 ERA in 13 appearances, each of which was a start
Lasted at least five innings in all but one start
Picked up first collegiate win in NKU's 5-3 victory against Milwaukee on March 19, fanning seven batters in a six-hit, three-run (only two earned) effort
Struck out 12 batters against ETSU (Feb. 20) and nine versus Wright State (March 5)
Finished season with 63 strikeouts and just 32 walks

A 6-foot-1 left handed pitcher from Joliet, IL where he attended Lincoln-Way West High School
- Was named First Team All Conference and Honorable Mention All-Area
Currently majoring in Organizational Leadership while attending Northern Kentucky University.
Son of Chuck and Cindi Gerl, has two siblings Cate and Adam.
