Theresa Gastright is a member of our Executive Team for the #GoNorseFund and also attended NKU. She is the chair of the Gala Committee. She has been married to her husband Michael for 40 years and they started Midwest Mechanical Systems, Inc. 32 years ago. Together they have two kids, Bethany and Tyler. She is retired from VonLehman & Company.

Theresa has been involved with NKU Athletics since 1999. Her daughter, Bethany, started at NKU in 1998 as a student-athlete for the NKU Volleyball team. Bethany committed to NKU as a senior in high school and went down with a season ending ACL injury. NKU remained committed to Bethany and her future as a Norse. They honored her scholarship, saw her through surgery, and continuously encouraged and inspired her through months of rehab. Theresa says those actions speak volumes about the commitment NKU Athletics has to their student-athletes and families, and it motivated her to continue to give back. We asked Theresa what drives her to stay involved with NKU Athletics and she said, “You can’t put a value on the friendships that are forged at NKU with teammates, parents, coaches, staff, and board members. It is easy to want to be a part of NKU and to give back a small part of what they have given our family and community.
