Prior to NKU:
He attended Wabash Valley Junior College in Mount Carmel, Illinois…In 2017, he batted .256 with an on-base percentage of .379…he also drove in 10 RBIs and recorded 19 runs.

Coach Asalon on Collin Luty: "Collin is a middle infielder who can play both shortstop and second base equally well. Last year at Wabash, he was the everyday shortstop, and has been asked to slide over to second base this season. He is an outstanding defender, can really handle the bat, and has outstanding speed on the bases. He will be an immediate contributor next year."
