Biography


2018: Made 15 starts in 17 appearances for the Norse this season…Recorded an assist in the team’s 5-0 win against Bethany College on Sept. 26…Also had an assist in the team’s 2-1 win over Cleveland State on Oct. 20…Helped the team record shutouts against Evansville, Eastern Illinois and Bethany College.
 

2017: Started in 15- the 17 matches that he played in this season…Recorded an assist in the team’s 3-0 win over IUPUI on Sept. 23…As a defender, helped the team to eight shutouts on the season, which is the most for the program in the Division I era…Played a season-high 110 minutes against Eastern Illinois on Sept. 5 and Cleveland State on Sept. 16.

Prior to NKU: Transferred from the University of Wisconsin…A product of Madison Memorial High School where TopDrawerSoccer.com ranked him as a four star prospect…At the club level, Kooistra played with Rush Wisconsin U-15-U17 and FC Wisconsin Nationals U-17/U-18 as part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
