2023 (Sophomore, Yavapai College (IA))

• Played in all 49 games. Hit .323 with 33 runs scored, 54 hits, 14 doubles, three triples, five homers, 35 RBI’s, 21 walks and six stolen bases. 

2022 (Freshman, Iowa)

• Collected his first hit, a pinch-hit RBI single in game two at Michigan State (5/14)
• Made his first career start (at third base) against Minnesota (4/16)
• Scored a run and stole a base at Milwaukee (4/12)
• Made his Hawkeye debut against Cornell College (3/1)

High School

Wood graduated from Ottumwa High School in May of 2021. During his time at Ottumwa, Wood earned All-Conference and All-District honors three times each and also earned First-Team All-State honors as a utility player as a senior. He also helped lead his team to three conference titles and a state tournament appearance in 2021. As a senior, he hit .450 with 35 RBIs, nine doubles, three triples, seven homers and 33 walks. As a junior, he hit .358 with dive doubles, three triples, one homer, 12 RBIs, 24 runs and seven steals. He also earned All-District honors twice in football and lettered in football, baseball, golf and wrestling. Also a member of the National Honors Society, Wood maintained a 3.3 GPA during all four years of high school and finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.4.
