Eric Busener

Eric Busener returns for his fourth season with the NKU coaching staff after spending two years as an assistant for the men’s and women’s soccer teams at Thomas More College.

NKU men's soccer has enjoyed its greatest successes since Busener joined the staff, compiling a record of 51-11-9 since 2008, including a trip to the NCAA national semifinals in 2008 and the team's first ever national championship in 2010.

In 2007, Busener helped guide the TMC women to a perfect record in the President’s Athletic Conference, while the men advanced to the PAC tournament final after their best season in 10 years.

Busener was a four-year starter as a player at Thomas More, earning Defensive Player of the Year honors after his sophomore campaign and was named Most Valuable Player after his junior and senior seasons. Prior to his college career, Busener graduated from La Salle High School, where he earned first-team All-Greater Catholic League and All-Southwest Ohio honors.

Busener also coaches two club teams at Cincinnati Futbol Academy, and also trains with the Northern Kentucky Soccer Academy and Kolping Soccer Club.
