Kevin McCloskey begins his second stint as an assistant at NKU. He previously served under Basalyga for the 2006 season.
McCloskey has spent the last two seasons directing the Kings Soccer Academy boys program and serving as the head coach of the Cincinnati Kings Super-20 boys team.
Prior to his time at the Kings, McCloskey served as an assistant at Xavier University for three seasons.
McCloskey was an All-America midfielder at the University of Rio Grande, bringing his squad to the NAIA national tournament twice in his four-year career. After his playing days, McCloskey remained at Rio Grande as an assistant coach, and in 2003 helped guide the team to an NAIA national championship.
A native of Belfast, Northern Ireland, McCloskey played on the Northern Ireland U16 and U18 national teams from 1996-98.
