  • Started eight games and played in all nine
  • Vital cog in Norse back line that helped opposing team's to the nation's 23rd-best goals against average (0.75)
  • Took five shots on the year, placing three on goal
2019
  • Appeared in 16 games and started 15 of them
  • Scored his first career goal in a 2-1 Norse win over eventual Horizon League tournament champions Wright State (Sept. 28)
  • Scored another goal in a win over Oakland (Nov. 8)
2018
  • Started in 16 matches for the Norse as a defender
  • Helped the team to three shutouts on the year
  • Recorded an assist in the team’s 3-0 win over Eastern Illinois on Oct. 2
  • Named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team

Prior to NKU: Jørgensen is a 6’3” defender from Oslo, Norway. He comes to NKU after recently playing for Oppsal IF. He served as the captain of the U-19 side that advanced to the prestigious Norway Cup in 2017. In his most recent season, he played in 50 matches, helping his team to a 26-6-18 record. He scored seven goals and contributed eight assists. He was also named the club’s Player of the Year in 2016. Jørgensen plans to major in business at NKU.
 
Riddle on Jørgensen: “Stian is going to provide excellent balance for us and give us great versatility. He’s strong in the air, equally as good with both feet, and a very good 1-v-1 defender. His ability to play as a central defender, left back, and as a holding midfielder is going to give him a lot of playing time as a freshman.”
