Northern Kentucky softball head coach Kathryn Gleason announced Marina Demoreas an assistant coach in January 2021. Demore serves as the pitching coach.
A Native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Demore joined the Norse coaching staff after serving as a graduate student manager for Fresno State from 2018-20. While in this position, she focused on day-to-day operations, travel logistics, and being a mentor to the Bulldog student-athletes.
During her playing days, Demore competed at an elite level. As a student-athlete from 2009-13, she helped lead Oregon State to back-to-back NCAA Regionals in 2012 and 2013. She also participated in the 2013 Pan American Games, where she finished in second place with Team Canada.
Demore earned her Bachelor’s degree in biology in 2014 at Oregon State, and continued to pursue a Master’s degree in kinesiology while at Fresno State.
