Named to the All-Horizon League First Team and was named the Player of the Week on March 12 ... Led the Norse at the plate with a .356 batting average, 48 hits and 34 RBI ... Had 17 extra-base hits and paced the team with 12 doubles and five home runs ... Finished her career ranked third in NKU laurels in career doubles (44), fifth in career sacrifices (29), sixth in career home runs (17), eighth in career runs (95) and ninth in career total bases (262).
2017: Started in all 52 games for NKU, primarily as the team’s third baseman … Led the Horizon League in doubles (15), while also leading the Norse in hits (45), and runs scored (29) and was second on the squad in RBI, with 27 … Recorded the most sac bunts on the team with seven … Batted .266 and slugged .462 … Led the team with 118 assists … Broke NKU’s Division I-era record for single-game RBI with six against Youngstown State on April 13 … Had the team’s longest hitting streak, with 10, and had 11 games with multiple hits recorded.
2016: Played in all 52 games at shortstop...batted .205 and had a .346 slugging percentage...Recorded 15 RBI for the Norse while scoring 16 runs...Posted nine doubles, two triples and three home runs.
2015: Saw action in 48 games for the Norse...drove in 27 runs while batting .267 with a .370 slugging percentage...had eight doubles and two home runs to go along with 20 walks...drove in 9 runs on the year and was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts
BEFORE NKU: A 2014 graduate of Southington (Conn.) High School...a two-time first-team All-State honoree...led the Blue Knights to a 2013 Class LL state title with a 25-1 record...Ferrante hit .467 last year and ranked third in the state with six home runs...she is a three-time All-CCC West first-team honoree and was honored three times as well by the New Britain Herald and Hartford Courant.
