What Rachael did this week: Wood was stellar in net for the Norse, picking up a pair of shutouts to propel NKU to its seventh Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship in the program's 12-year history. Against Quincy in Sunday's championship game, Wood made three saves, including one late in the second half, to make Amanda Mason's first-half goal count in a 1-0 win. Wood now has six shutouts on the season and has shared in four more.
Up next: NKU now awaits selection to the NCAA Tournament on Monday. Currently the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region, NKU expects to host first and second-round games this weekend at Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
