What Kellogg did this week: Kellogg has been an offensive spark for the Norse since entering the starting lineup, especially over the last five games. The freshman outfielder batted .500 and collected six RBIs, three runs, three doubles and one home run over NKU's five games last week with wins over Eastern Kentucky and North Florida. He recorded a .600 on-base percentage and an .875 slugging percentage.Â
After being walked twice against Miami (Ohio) to start the week, he recorded one hit for the Norse. He followed that with a 2-for-5 performance in NKU's 13-11 extra-inning victory over Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday. He recorded a double and scored once for the Norse. After going 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in the series opener against North Florida to open conference play on Friday, Kellogg went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and one run scored to lift the Norse to an 8-6 win on Saturday. In that game, he collected his first collegiate home run. He finished the week with an RBI double on NKU's only run of the game in the series finale on Sunday.
