What Asman did this season: Asman, a senior infielder from Cincinnati, Ohio, had an impressive offensive turnaround this season. After struggling at the plate as a junior, Asman finished his final season with the Norse holding a .308 batting average. He collected 15 doubles and hit one home run, and he led the team in triples (2), runs scored (34) and stolen bases (9). As a leader on the field and in the classroom for the Norse, he received second-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference honors and was named to the Academic All-Conference team.
Asman finished his four-year career with a .279 batting average, and he recorded 48 doubles, four triples and three home runs. He batted in 88 runs, scored 115 times and stole 46 bases for NKU. For his contribution to the program, Asman was voted "Mr. Norse" by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council at "The Victor" awards.
