What McDole did last week: He was recognized as an NCAA Division II preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. McDole hit 15 home runs last season, and his .670 slugging percentage ranked second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Interesting fact about McDole: He earned the GLVC and Midwest Region Player of the Year awards last season.
