What Ashley did this week: Warndorf got the 2009 season off to a sizzling start for the Norse, netting four goals in an 8-2 victory over Concord on Sunday. Warndorf’s goals helped the Norse battle back from an early 2-1 deficit in the contest. The Norse scored seven unanswered goals to cruise to victory.

Not the first time: The four goals Warndorf scored tied a school record that has been equaled three times before. On Sept. 2, 2005, Warndorf scored four to help NKU to a 7-1 victory. NKU All-American performers Betsy Moore (2000 vs. Mercyhurst) and Tricia Ruark (2001 vs. Wheeling Jesuit) also share the distinction.

Queen of the Mountain Lions: Warndorf has dominated Concord over her distinguished career at NKU. In four matches against the Mountain Lions Warndorf has scored nine goals. Warndorf now has 21 career goals and is poised to break into the NKU all-time top 10 list with her next goal, which she hopes to score when NKU takes the field on Thursday at Southern Indiana to open Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
