What Gates did last week: She went 4-for-5, including a game-tying home run with two outs in the seventh inning, as NKU posted a 3-2 win against Lewis in 11 innings during the NCAA Tournament. Gates blasted a 1-2 pitch over the left-field fence to tie the game at 2-all, and NKU scored a run in the 11th to pull out the victory.

Fact about Gates: She now has 22 career home runs, the most in Norse softball history. Gates finished with 10 homers this season.
