Jeff Baldwin was hired as the Northern Kentucky University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' Director of Development in August 2015 and then named Assistant Athletics Director of Development in 2021, where he works to increase funding support for athletic programs at NKU. Baldwin oversees all aspects of athletics fundraising and is responsible for securing major gifts.
During his tenure, athletic department fundraising efforts have increased from approximately $250,000 in 2015-16 to approximately $1.75 million in 2020-21 through annual fund donations, special event revenue, endowed scholarships and multi-year commitments.
Along with the increase in financial support, donors to the athletics department also reached an all-time high in 2020-21, surpassing 700 donors.
Most recently, Baldwin served as Major Gifts Officer at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where he was responsible for building and managing a portfolio of alumni, friends and organizations capable of providing gifts for capital campaign projects, endowment relief, planned giving and scholarships. His duties also included assisting Berea’s athletics department with its transition from NAIA to NCAA Division III.

Baldwin joined Berea College following a stint at the American Heart Association as Director of Development.

Prior to his time at the American Heart Association, Baldwin was the Director of Development for the University of Memphis athletics department. He directed all aspects of the Tigers’ annual fundraising campaign. During his tenure at Memphis, the fundraising efforts for the athletic department grew nearly 60 percent.

Baldwin’s NCAA Division I experience started at Bradley University. As the athletics department’s Director of Fundraising, Baldwin had oversight of the fundraising budget, created annual fundraising goals, organized special fundraising events and spending budgets for the Braves’ sports teams. He was a member of the athletics department senior staff, assisted in the administration of the baseball program and served as an advisor for the Student Athletic Council.

After completing his undergraduate studies and earning dual degrees in secondary education and history at the University of Alabama, Baldwin earned a Masters in Sport Administration from The University of Louisville. He then worked at the Kentucky Sports Authority as the Marketing, Partnerships and Development Director before transitioning to Bradley.
