The NKU women's soccer team won its eighth straight game Sunday.

Kelly Sullivan,
Emily Martin and
Morgan Price all scored goals as the Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team extended its winning streak to eight with a 3-1 victory against Missouri S&T on Sunday.
Sullivan also recorded an assist for NKU, which improved to 13-2 overall, 10-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Amanda Mason and
Danielle Hogue each added an assist as the 15th-ranked Norse took sole possession of first place in the GLVC standings.
Sullivan's goal at the 35:47 mark off an assist from Smith gave NKU a 1-0 lead. Martin extended the Norse's advantage to 2-0 early in the second half by finishing off a shot into an open goal. Sullivan and Mason were credited with assists on that play.
After Missouri S&T (5-7-1, 5-6 GLVC) cut the NKU lead to 2-1 with a goal in the 71st minute, the Norse defense stiffened and held on. Price sealed the win by netting a goal in the final minute of play off an assist from Hogue.
NKU returns home to play GLVC newcomer Maryville at 5 p.m. Friday at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
