HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team extended its winning streak to 10 and wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a 3-1 victory against Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday.

Danielle Hogue and
Kelly Sullivan all scored goals as NKU improved to 15-2 overall, 12-2 in the GLVC. The Norse finished with a 31-12 edge in shot attempts and cruised to the win against the visiting Tritons (4-11-1 overall, 4-9-1 GLVC).
Mason netted her seventh goal of the season at the 12:57 mark to give NKU a 1-0 lead.
Morgan Price picked up the assist on Mason's goal. Hogue struck in the 36th minute to extend NKU's advantage to 2-0 off an assist from
Emily Martin.
Sullivan capped the scoring for NKU at the 53:55 mark by finishing off a shot that was assisted by Price. Sullivan now has five goals this season.
Missouri-St. Louis avoided the shutout with a goal in the 81st minute.
NKU, ranked 12th nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, has not lost since dropping a 2-1 decision at Indianapolis on Sept. 20. The Norse have since reeled off 10 consecutive victories to claim the GLVC regular-season title.
NKU begins play in the GLVC Tournament next Sunday at noon by hosting No. 8 seed Rockhurst at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky. If the Norse defeat Rockhurst, they will also play host to the GLVC semifinals (Nov. 6) and championship (Nov. 8) in Wilder.
NKU has won six GLVC Tournament championships, the last one coming in 2005.
