The NKU volleyball team has won at least 20 matches for 17 straight years.
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Indianapolis Cathedral High School volleyball standout Kathryn Treadway has signed a national letter of intent to attend Northern Kentucky University.
Treadway, a native of Carmel, Ind., led Indianapolis Cathedral to Class 4A state championships in both 2006 and '08. This past season, the 5-foot-11 outside hitter averaged 3.71 kills per game and earned all-state honors for the Fighting Irish.
In addition, Treadway was named the team's most valuable player this past season and helped Indianapolis Cathedral win its fourth consecutive city championship. She was a two-time all-city selection and earned four letters for Indianapolis Cathedral.
Treadway also played club volleyball for Munciana for 10 years and was nominated twice for All-America accolades.
Treadway joins an NKU program that has won at least 20 matches for 17 consecutive seasons. The Norse posted a 20-12 record this year and finished fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season standings.
